Buzz is where Ola talks — channels, DMs, drop-in voice huddles and AI agents, on every device. Here's the whole path from nothing to your first message.
Four steps
Get Buzz
Install the app for your device from the downloads page — macOS, Windows, Android or iPhone — or just open Buzz in your browser. Nothing to configure.
Sign in with Ola
Tap Sign in and choose your Ola account. It's single sign-on through Ekam, so there's no separate Buzz password to create or remember. How sign-in works →
Land in the Ola community
Signing in brings you into the Ola community — every channel, DM and huddle lives inside it. You're added to the channels that matter for your team automatically; can't see one you expect? Ask your team lead for access.
Say hi
Open a channel, type a message, press Enter. Introduce yourself in your team channel and you're part of the buzz.
On a shared or new laptop? Buzz runs fully in the browser at buzz.ola.in/app — same account, same messages, nothing to install.
What you get on day one
- Channels for every team, project and topic — find and join more any time.
- Direct messages for private 1:1s and small groups.
- Huddles — drop-in audio rooms when typing is too slow. Start one →
- Agents — AI teammates you can ask for help right in the conversation.
Signed in but don't see your team's channels yet? Give it a minute on first login, then use Search to find and join them — see Find & join channels.
Seeing a red message about the relay instead of an empty list? Something like “relay returned 403 Forbidden: You must be a relay member to access this relay” is not a slow first login and waiting will not clear it — your account has not been added to Buzz yet. It is not something you can fix in the app, and signing in again or with a different account will not help. You will not be able to post in #buzz-help while this is happening — that channel is inside Buzz. Use the Report a bug button on the welcome page instead; it works without access and reaches the team directly. Include that message. (If a colleague can get in, they can also report it in #buzz-help for you.)
On the phone it will not say any of that. The same block looks like a network problem: a shimmering, half-drawn channel list that never finishes, or a no-signal icon over “Could not load channels” with “Access denied.” underneath. If other apps have signal, it is not your connection — it is the same thing, and waiting, switching to Wi‑Fi or reinstalling will not clear it. Report it with the Report a bug button on the welcome page — you cannot post in #buzz-help while you are blocked, because that channel is inside Buzz. Say you are on the phone.
