Terms of Service

1.Acceptance & who these Terms apply to

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Buzz. Buzz is provided by ANI Technologies Private Limited (Ola Cabs, part of the Ola group), registered office at Regent Insignia, No. 414, 3rd Floor, 4th Block, 17th Main, 100 Feet Road, Koramangala, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560034, India ("Ola", "we", "us", "our"), for the Ola group of companies. Buzz is available only to authorized Ola employees and contractors ("you"). By signing in and using Buzz, you agree to these Terms and to the related Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Buzz.

2.Authorized access

Access to Buzz requires a valid Ola identity and successful sign-in through Ekam single sign-on. You may use Buzz only while you are an authorized employee or contractor of the Ola group and only for legitimate work purposes. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for activity under your account. Do not share your access, and notify Ola IT / security promptly of any suspected compromise or unauthorized access. Your access may be revoked or suspended when you leave the organisation, change roles, or in line with Ola policy.

3.Acceptable use

Buzz is for internal, work-related communication and collaboration. When using Buzz you will:

• use it only for legitimate Ola business and in accordance with Ola's IT, acceptable-use, confidentiality and code-of-conduct policies;
• handle confidential, proprietary and personal information responsibly and only share it with people who are authorized to receive it, in line with Ola's information-classification and data-protection policies;
• communicate professionally and lawfully, and respect your colleagues.

You will not, and will not permit others to:

• use Buzz for any unlawful, fraudulent, harassing, defamatory, discriminatory or otherwise harmful purpose;
• send, store or distribute content that is illegal, infringing, malicious (including malware), or that violates Ola policy;
• disclose Ola or third-party confidential information to unauthorized persons, or exfiltrate data in breach of policy;
• attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, channels, data or systems, defeat access controls, probe or test security without authorization, or disrupt or misuse the service;
• impersonate others, or use Buzz to circumvent Ola's security, monitoring or governance controls;
• use Buzz to build, or provide access to, a competing or unauthorized service.

We may remove content, and suspend or revoke access, to enforce these Terms or Ola policy.

4.Ola property & authorized use only

Buzz, its infrastructure, and the accounts, channels and data within it are the property of, and administered by, Ola. Buzz is provided as a work tool for authorized use only; it confers no personal ownership or entitlement to the service. Ola may add, change, limit, suspend or discontinue Buzz or any of its features at any time.

5.Administration & monitoring

Authorized Ola administrators and IT / security personnel may manage the service, accounts, channels and content, and — to the extent permitted by law and Ola's internal policies — may log, retain, review and monitor communications and activity on Buzz for security, compliance, investigations, legal hold and operational purposes. Communications on Buzz are not private from Ola. See the Privacy Policy for details on what is collected and how it is handled.

6.Confidential information

Buzz is used to share information that may be confidential to Ola or to third parties. You must treat such information in accordance with your confidentiality obligations to Ola and applicable Ola policies, use it only for authorized purposes, and not disclose it to anyone not authorized to receive it. These obligations continue after your access to Buzz ends.

7.Intellectual property

All rights in the Buzz application, its software, design and documentation are owned by Ola and its licensors (Buzz builds on the open Nostr protocol and other open-source components, used under their respective licences). No rights are granted to you except the limited right to use Buzz for authorized internal purposes under these Terms. Content you create or share through Buzz in the course of your work is handled in accordance with your employment or contractor agreement and Ola's IP and data policies.

8.Disclaimers & no warranty

Buzz is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis for internal use, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted or error-free operation. We do not warrant that Buzz will always be available, secure or free of defects. Buzz is not intended for use as a system of record; do not rely on it for regulated record-keeping.

9.Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ola will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, or for loss of data, arising out of or relating to your use of Buzz. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, or affects the rights and obligations between you and Ola under your employment or contractor relationship.

10.Suspension & termination of access

Ola may suspend or terminate your access to Buzz at any time — including for breach of these Terms or Ola policy, for security reasons, on change of role, or when you cease to be an authorized employee or contractor. On termination, your right to use Buzz ceases; the treatment of your account and content follows Ola's internal HR, IT and data-retention policies. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including sections 6, 7, 8, 9 and 11) survive termination.

11.Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to Ola's internal grievance and dispute-resolution processes, the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to Buzz or these Terms. Nothing here overrides mandatory provisions of your employment or contractor relationship or applicable law.

12.Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify users through Buzz or internal channels. Continued use of Buzz after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
